RALLY ALBANIA 2010
is an off-road rally open to bikes, quads and cars with seven days of competition against a
demanding course, the clock and the other competitors.
















Day 1, June 5, (Saturday)
in Parc Ferme situated in Tirana, the teams will be called for technical scrutiny and administrative
checks, followed by an “Opening Event” planned in the city center.

Day 2, June 6, (Sunday)
the first competitive Superspecial stage will be run. It will be 4 km of timed track that will
establish the starting order and also will be added to the total time.

Day 3, June 7, (Monday)
Stage one, will be a long stage. Sandy beaches and navigation will be the foreword of the rally in
this first day along the coast with gravel and asphalt connections from Tirana to Himara.

Day 4, June 8, (Tuesday)
Stage two, is a loop stage, Himara-Himara, short but technical and in a very rough terrain.

Day 5, June 9, (Wednesday)
Stage three, Himara-Pogradec, will be a long and very demanding stage in navigation skills and
physical endurance. After some high altitudes mountain paths, it will finish right in the shore of
Ohrid Lake in the city of Pogradec.

Day 6, June 10, (Thursday)
Stage four, is again a loop stage, Pogradec-Pogradec.
An easy and relaxing stage with a short special section.

Day 7, June 11, (Friday)
Stage five, Pogradec-Tirana, will be the hardest stage of all the rally. High altitudes, mud lanes,
deep forests, rocky paths and tricky navigation in some of the most remote areas of Albania.

Day 8, June 12, (Saturday)
Stage six, the final stage, Tirana-Tirana. This is the last and deciding stage. Short but everything
can happen in the hills and muds around Tirana. Old villages, river beds, mud and dust, will be
the landscape of the final kilometres.

Driving capacity and navigation skills will be challenged to the extreme on a route sometimes on
rocks, mud, river beds, mountains and slow gravel or white fast gravel that also demand a keen
sense of navigation.

At the finish,
after nearly 1400 km of route, more than 750 km comprising timed sections, competitors will be
invited to a prize-giving show in the center of Tirana, and a party organized Saturday night.

Registrations and Vehicles

Rally Albania is a Rally Raid type that is open to amateurs that are at least 18 years old and have
the standard driving licence in the category they want to participate.

All vehicles need to be road legal in the country whose registration plates they carry, with all
papers valid at least until June 13, 2010. Vehicles and participants are obliged to have minimum
safety equipment described in the rule book.

The route is described in a road book and for each stage it will be distributed at 20:00 on the
day before the stage. The road book for cars will be in A5 standard and for bikes and quads in
roll form (145 mm wide).

Minimum number of participants is 30 bikes/quads/cars.
Maximum number is 90 vehicles, bikes/quads/cars, all together.

Registration is open from January 1 to June 1, 2010.
